SaveOnEnergy has 20 years of experience working with various top-tier providers in deregulated markets. Because there are dozens of providers, hundreds of plans, and constantly changing rates, our reviews are not based on first-hand experience. We encourage customers to do their own research, compare multiple plans, and consider their individual priorities when choosing which provider is the best fit for them.

SaveOnEnergy’s tips for easy electricity service setup
- Don’t forget to read your plan’s Electricity Facts Label before signing up. It contains important information, including:
- Relax while your supplier sets up service. Once your order has been confirmed, your new supplier will set up service with your utility, or transmission and distribution service provider (TDSP) — but don’t worry, there shouldn’t be any interruption to your power during the switch.
- Understand your electricity bill. Your local TDSP will still deliver your electricity and maintain electric infrastructure including meters and power lines. Your utility fees will appear as TDU or TDSP charges on your monthly bill. They are independent of your supplier rate.
How to move or transfer service with Chariot Energy
If you plan to move, contact Chariot Energy to notify them. Ideally, do so two weeks before you vacate your current residence to give them sufficient time to switch your service to your new address. If your new home is outside the Chariot Energy service area, they will waive your early termination fee (ETF) if applicable.
Chariot Energy electric rates in your area
Several factors affect the electricity rate on your energy bill. The distribution fee your utility company charges for sending electricity to your home or business can vary depending on where you live. Each electric supplier has the power to charge different transmission and distribution fees. As a result, you could have the same energy plan as someone else but pay different rates.
