Commerce Energy energy plans
Commerce Energy plans are fixed rate and range from a term of 12 to 36 months. Each plan has a $175 early termination fee if you cancel your contract prior to the end of its term. All plans, with the exception of Just Energy Purely Green, include 12.1 percent renewable energy sources.
Power Plus 12
With this 12-month plan, you’ll receive a $100 credit if your electricity usage is equal to or greater than 1,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) a month.
Base Saver III
This 12-month plan features the company’s best one-year fixed rate. You can also receive a $75 credit if you use 1,000 kWh or more per month.
Simple Rate 36
This plan offers the company’s best fixed rate for a three-year term.
Just 400 Advantage
With this 24-month plan, you can receive $400 in bill credits in two increments over the life of your term. A $200 bill credit may be issued each September.
Simple Rate Plus + $100 Gift Card
On this 12-month plan, you can receive a prepaid gift card of $50 in both the sixth and ninth month of your term.
Just Energy Purely Green – 36
This is the company’s plan for people who want to take advantage of green energy. All of the electricity generated for this 36-month plan is from renewable sources.

What is a fixed-rate plan?
With a fixed-rate plan, the rate you’re charged for your electricity will remain the same throughout the life of your contract. The amount of your total bill can vary based on how much electricity you use.
What is a variable-rate plan?
With a variable-rate plan, the rate you’re charged for your electricity can change every month based on market conditions. The rate can be low one month and significantly higher the next.

Why does Choose Energy run a credit check?
Many electricity plans require a deposit in order to start service. Choose Energy checks your credit to determine the amount of that deposit. The higher your credit score, the lower your deposit could be. You may not have to pay a deposit.
