Dynowatt was a subsidiary of Accent Energy. When IGS Energy purchased Accent Energy in 2011, Dynowatt was absorbed into the bigger company. IGS Energy is a retail energy company that serves natural gas and electric customers in many states across the U.S. Former residential, commercial and industrial Dynowatt customers in these deregulated markets can purchase energy from its parent or another retail energy supplier of their choosing.

IGS Energy, formerly Dynowatt, in Texas

Across Texas, most residents and businesses have the option of choosing a retail electric provider (REP). Back in 2002, the Texas Senate passed a law separating the electricity industry into three parts: generation, supply and distribution. The move was designed to increase competition and allow for lower pricing.

As part of that law, everyone who resides or does business in a deregulated area must choose a REP. When shopping for a new electricity plan, it’s important to compare offers from multiple providers. While your utility will continue delivering your supply to your home, you could wind up paying less for your supply as long as you take the time to do your homework.

IGS Energy offers electricity plans for residential and commercial customers in Texas. Compare the company’s rates in Texas with rates offered by other providers at SaveOnEnergy.com®.
