This will ensure that you choose just the right supplier and plan to meet your household’s needs.

This is the basic Entrust Energy fixed-rate plan, where the number refers to the total number of months in your contract. Your rates will not change for the life of your plan. However, if you need to end your contract ahead of schedule, you will owe an early termination fee (ETF) of $150.

Entrust Monthly

This is a month to month variable-rate plan. Your Entrust Energy electric rates are not locked in and may change every month depending on wholesale energy prices. There is no contract, though, so you will not owe any early termination fees if you decide to cancel.

Texas energy plan FAQs

  • What is a fixed-rate energy plan? A fixed-rate energy plan gives you the peace of mind of knowing exactly what your electrcity supply rates will be for the duration of your plan. However, you will need to pay an early termination fee (ETF) if you don’t finish the contract.
  • What is a variable-rate energy plan? A variable-rate energy plan is a gamble on market prices. Your rates are tied to the wholesale energy market. Variable-rate energy plans are month to month, which means you can end your plan without penalty whenever you want.
  • Who do I call about a power outage? Your power is delivered by your local utility company (also known as a transmission and distribution service provider, or TDSP). The utility company maintains the lines and infrastructure, so you will need to call them to report an outage.
  • What happens if I move? If you can demonstrate that you are moving, you will not have to pay an early termination fee. If you wish to continue service with your provider, check to see if it is available at your new address.
