Texas energy plan FAQs
What is a fixed rate plan?
A fixed rate plan means that your electricity rate stays the same for the entire duration of your term. If you purchase a 24-month plan, your rates won’t fluctuate for 24 months. Government taxes and fees can change.
Why doesSaveOnEnergy run a credit check?
Our providers require a credit check before beginning service. We run what is called a soft credit check so it doesn’t impact your score. Providers require this to determine whether or not you need to pay a deposit for service.
Who do I call if there’s an outage?
Regardless of which provider you choose, you should call your local utility company regarding all power delivery issues.
What happens if I move?
If you demonstrate your new address to a provider, you won’t have to worry about paying an early cancellation fee. (Find this Texas Public Utilities Commission Rules on page 6, subsection “Terms of Service Document”, section 4)
